繼杜蘭特（Kevin Durant）決定離開奧克拉荷馬雷霆，轉戰金州勇士之後，今夏第二發震撼彈今天爆出，韋德（Dwyane Wade）決定離開待了13年的邁阿密熱火，以兩年4750萬美元加入芝加哥公牛，第二年擁有球員選項。

韋德在聲明中表示，「這不是個輕鬆的決定，但我相信自己做了最正確的選擇」。韋德也回應邁阿密熱火球迷，「我很自豪在這裡取得的成就和記憶，我打心底感謝熱火球迷對我的愛和支持。」

Yahoo體育專家沃納羅斯基（Adrian Wojnarowski）報導，韋德已經通知熱火，他決定接受公牛報價，回到出生家鄉芝加哥，與朗多（Rajon Rondo）、巴特勒（Jimmy Butler）組成「公牛三俠」。熱火給韋德報價是兩年4000萬美元，丹佛金塊開出兩年5200萬美元，但都未能打動韋德的心。

公牛為了簽下韋德，稍早已經完成後衛卡德倫（Jose Calderon ）、前鋒鄧里維（Mike Dunleavy）兩筆交易，挪出薪資空間，重新打造公牛後場精英組合。

公牛上季戰績42勝40敗、名列東區第九，未能打進季後賽。傷兵太多，打法改變，進攻拙劣是很大關鍵。今年夏天公牛進行徹底重建，交易送走羅斯（Derrick Rose），簽下朗多，同時在自由市場以大手筆搶下韋德，公牛後場全面翻新，經驗、球星、控球、射手、運動能力都兼顧。

ESPN分析，韋德離開熱火，關鍵在於熱火今夏在自由市場操作並不成功，韋德也沒得到重視，與熱火高層協商不成下，韋德決定回到家鄉球隊公牛，跟詹姆斯（LeBron James）2014年夏天的選擇回家一樣。韋德表示，「我沒有忘記我來自那裡，這是我的選項。」
